How It Works
From photograph to framed portrait
1. Choose your frame and order
Select Black or Oak and check out securely. No photo is needed to order.
2. Send your pet photo
After checkout, we email you to collect your photo. Choose one clear photograph of one dog or cat. Natural light, visible eyes and a close, unobscured face work best. If the image is not suitable, we will ask for another before continuing.
3. We create your portrait
We compose the image in Animelier's Editorial Gallery style using specialist image tools guided by human art direction, keeping expression, markings and character at the centre. Every portrait is individually reviewed before your proof is sent.
4. Review your proof
We email you a private digital proof within 2 working days of receiving your photo, so you can see the complete artwork before printing.
5. Approve or request a change
Approve the proof, or tell us what to change. If the proof doesn't capture your pet's recognisable features, we correct it at no cost, and one style adjustment is also included. Nothing is printed until you approve the artwork.
6. Print and delivery
Once you approve your proof, your portrait is printed, framed and packed within 3–5 working days, then sent free by Royal Mail Tracked 48, which usually arrives within 2–3 working days.
Christmas: order by 8 December and approve your proof by 10 December.
The Animelier Likeness Promise
You'll see your portrait before we print it. If the proof doesn't capture your pet's recognisable features (eyes, markings, colouring, expression), we'll correct it at no cost.
One complimentary style adjustment
On top of any likeness correction, one style adjustment is included, such as warming the background or refining a detail. A different source photograph, additional pet, new composition or substantial redesign may require a new order.
